Worldwide Volunteering

WorldWide Volunteering was set up to help promote and encourage young people to volunteer. 

Volunteering is widely regarded as the ideal way to encourage active community integration. It gives a person the chance to build their confidence and self respect which helps them to secure the university place of their choice or to enter the employment field with a good CV. 

many people, young and old, would like to volunteer but find it hard to find a placement that exactly matches their wishes, circumstances and aspirations.

The unique WWV search and match database enables volunteers and their advisers to sift through over 1400 organisations with 1,100,000+ placements each year between them.

Volunteering Project Managers

In 2003 WWV sent two Volunteering Project Managers to help students all over Greater London to become active volunteers. The results have been both remarkable and exciting.  You can read further information about the work they do in our newsletter.  Since then we have added to the team with a separate VPM in the West Midlands, the North West, Leeds and East Bradford, West Yorkshire, the North East and Sussex.   We are keen to extend the network of VPMs across the UK.
